Taken for posterity: I’ve never seen anywhere near this much stuff on David’s desk. It usually contains:

• monitor
• keyboard and mouse (wireless, to reduce clutter)
• phone, tucked in the back-left corner
• one notebook, one pen

Literally. That’s it.

I bet it pains him to sit down at this. You can tell he’s really busy.
